Radio Portable: Sangean DT-200V
The Sangean DT-200V is a nice little pocket radio.
The best thing about this portable radio is its size. It weighs only 6 ounces, and boasts 3×5x1 dimensions, which is impressive given the feature set.
The speaker sound on the DT-200V is a bit tinny, but hiss is kept to a minimum and the sound is overall very clear for a radio this size. The reception is about what you would expect from a pocket radio. Strong FM stations come in clearly through the built-in antenna, and AM stations are hit or miss depending on their proximity and signal strength.
Tuning is performed with a digital display, and it’s very intuitive to navigate through various frequencies. You also get 25 presets (16 FM and 9 AM), which is generous, especially for a pocket radio. Other features include clock, alarm clock, and backlight.
One of the best features of the Sangean DT-200V is that it has built in earbuds. The earbud wires wrap around a spool on the back of the radio, and you can retract them with a single push of a button. Very handy.
